Do you want to write or film for a living? Or like the idea of giving it a go? Then take advantage of this amazing opportunity for a great addition to your CV. Don’t worry – you don’t have to be the next Zoella!
So what would I have to do?
We’re looking for Fresh Student Living Ambassadors to write or film pieces for our Student Hub – about the subjects that really matter to you. New TV show everyone should be watching? A band in your city that are so far undiscovered? A cause that you think everyone should be more aware of? Or maybe just a topical piece that everyone is talking about right now. We want you to be able to share the things that you want to read about or watch with your fellow Fresh Students.
If you’re interested, get in touch with us at [email protected] and we’ll give you a bit more information on how it’ll all work - how to pitch your ideas, who to submit to, along with our style guide.
Why should I write/vlog for Fresh Student Living?
- Experience and that dreaded CV.
We know you probably aren’t thinking about your CV and getting that grad job yet (or maybe you are, good on you!) but this is a really easy way to get some good experience on your CV. Whether you want to go into journalism or not, blogging or vlogging experience is all the rage right now (mostly because the older generation just don’t really get it). It’s such an easy way to get that tick on your job applications!
We know you're busy with uni assignments and nights out, so we can be flexible to fit around your other commitments. You can get in touch now, but there are there no obligations!
- Get your name out there.
Employers/recruiters will Google you - get some good stuff up so maybe they don’t notice those crazy photos or 3am Tweets… (Heads up guys, make these sorts of things private!).
- Practice makes perfect.
The only way to develop your voice or style is to practice, practice, practice! Blogging or vlogging for us is a great way to experiment with and discover your personal tone and specialities. Perfect for the future!
