Staying at uni over Easter?
Your second term is nearly over which means it's time for an overdue break from lectures, exams and deadlines!
Most people will be packing up to go home for the holidays and your timelines might start filling up with people getting excited to be reunited with their friends and family, but what about if you're staying in Fresh over the holiday?
No need to worry, you have plenty of things to do...
Make the most of the quiet library
After a hectic January exam and deadline period, you probably got sick of circling the library looking for a space, so now that it's quieter you can get some revision done and make the most of the free space. Revision is more effective when done little and often, so don't neglect it over the Easter break.
Bake some Easter treats
In the UK, we love to use anything as an excuse to treat ourselves and Easter is definitely one of those occasions. There are LOTS of delicious Easter baking you could do - think themed cupcakes, hot cross buns, rocky road, chocolate nests and lots more. It'd be rude not to!
Have a FRESH clean
Sometimes you just need to have a bit of a spring clean! You might have been putting it off this term because you've been busy, but now you've got a bit of free time, you don't have any excuses, right? Time to dig out the Marigolds...
Have a guilt-free binge
There is nothing wrong with the occasional Netflix & Chill but during term time you might have felt bad just sitting in bed watching numerous episodes of the latest Netflix Original show... Now that you're on Easter break though, you can treat yourself and have a guilt-free binge on the shows and films you love.
You can spend your extra time exploring areas around you that you haven't had a chance to see yet. National Trust and Woodland Trust have some great sites that don't cost much or anything at all - ideal if you're waiting for your next loan to drop in your account.
Speak to your SU
Your university Students' Union may be hosting events over the break for students who are still on campus so it's worth nipping in for a chat or emailing them to see what's going on that you might not be aware of. It also gives you a chance to hang out with other people still on campus, because you won't be the only one!
Staying in halls over Easter isn't as bad as you may have first thought - you've got a lot of freedom so make the most of it. Enjoy!
